WHERE TO GO: This past weekend I tried World of Sourdough (@worldofsourdoughhtx) in Houston, TX for a late lunch and its 110% worth the drive from sugar land (iykyk). There are 6 (soon to be 8) locations in both Arizona and Texas. I went to the Houston location in the Lower Heights area.

WHY ITS COOL: Tucked in a shopping complex, this casual sandwich + soup shop interior manages to feel incredibly unique with the decor and the HUGE walls of windows spanning up the extra tall ceilings. I can’t explain why but a cool inside to a restaurant always makes me more excited about the food. (Which we’ll go into next)
That all said: Restaurant itself? 5/5 stars. But considering the location? I feel like it brings the restaurant rating up to a 6/5 stars because it’s got a ton to do nearby if you’re looking to grab lunch and maybe go shopping after or find a fun activity locally in the Heights.
To help plan out some potential plans for post-lunch shopping fun:
+ total wine is next to an ulta in the same complex
+ within a 2 min drive is a target beside a huge sephora (this is what I opted to do after lunch bc I needed a concealer from sephora and target sounded fun)
+ within 10-15 min are other small businesses, I personally would hit up NG Jewelry for some new jewelry and then go next door to the Asch building for the cafe and ~experience~ (also in the heights)
WHAT I ORDERED: I was offered the chance to try multiple items with my trusty content partner – my husband. He went for a French dip sandwich, I went for a caprese sandwich (it’s one of my go tos). Those were INCREDIBLE. We both split a mac and cheese in a bread bowl that I’m still thinking about despite it being long long gone! They have a variety of chips or cookies if that’s your jam too.
