URBAN DECAY FANS LETS GOOO ITS TIME FOR A PARTY!
Today you will virtually be joining me for the Urban Decay Cosmetics product launch event this past week in Houston, Tx.

THE PURPOSE
With their new UD On Tour events across the country, Urban Decay launches products in a unique way that feels exciting for beauty creators and influencers and also connects the company to beauty communities in an intimate way.
But to get the full effect I feel like we need to delve into…
THE VIBES
The evening event was giving girls night out at a record studio / speakeasy almost style bar. Where you may ask?
THE LOCATION
Off the Record is an incredible atmosphere for the event, and Urban Decay went all out with the branding to put their stamp on the evening.
Aesthetic wise you’ve got framed records adorning a statement wall, projector branding on a large scale, shelves of musical nostalgia galore, and multiple floors to contain the main space (1st floor), the DJ booth (2nd floor), and the more intimate space we used for shade matching and photos upstairs (3rd floor).
THE PRODUCT LAUNCH
Houston’s launch party celebrated the Face Bond foundation by Urban Decay by letting the attendees get shade matching done by professional make up artists! Afterwards they’d send you over to the counter to meet with some Urban Decay team members. From there we received branded tote bags of UD best sellers after our shade matching time to be able to play with them more at home and learn more about why they’re crowd favorites!
Our shade matching foundation picks are coming via mail and I genuinely can’t wait for them to come in! I was matched to shades 1 (fair cool) and shade 2 (fair neutral) — we decided both worked differently but beautifully on my skin tone so I’ll be trying them with the full face of makeup soon to see which works best for summer!
THE TAKEAWAYS
Look I’ve been a fangirl since the original NAKED eyeshadow palette was a holy grail back in the day. Call it biased that I’ve stayed a fangirl if you must but personally I’d call it consistency! So, candidly I did go into this event expecting to fall in love – and I did.
Having also checked out the items at a nearby sephora separately as well, I genuinely would recommend trying these out. The thinness / non cakey feeling is my top tier favorite part and I can’t wait to see how it stands up to Houston humidity in real life too!
